About This Experience

This is not a show. It is an hour in a studio with a professional tango dancer — the kind who spends their nights at the milongas and, in many cases, competes at the Buenos Aires Tango World Cup. The difference between learning from a dancer and learning from a teacher is the whole point of booking it.

The lesson is private: just you, or your group, and the instructor. It opens with the abrazo — the embrace, the connection, the idea that tango is a conversation between two people — before moving to the walk, the basic pattern and the ocho, adapted to your pace. All levels are welcome, from people who have never danced to experienced dancers wanting Buenos Aires technique.

It pairs naturally with a show. An hour of trying to do it yourself changes what you see when professionals do it that evening, and it is the cheapest way on this site to get closer to tango than a seat allows.
